Manager of IT Security Operations

Contract to Hire

Oakland, CA – Hybrid

$70 – $85/hour

Option 1 is actively recruiting for a Manager of IT Security Operations for one of our TOP clients in the Bay Area. In this crucial role, you will be overseeing the daily operations of the organization’s information security program. This position requires implementing and monitoring of security measures in order to protect the organization’s data and network. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance of security infrastructure, tools, and technologies.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT security team.
• Develop and implement incident response plans to address security incidents.
• Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches and incidents, documenting findings and advising corrective actions.
• Perform regular risk assessments to identify and prioritize security risks.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
• Develop, and update information security policies and procedures.
• Maintain strong relationships with external security partners and vendors.
• Professionally communicate information to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing training to keep the organization informed regarding security threats and trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 4 years of recent experience in IT security operations with a focus on leadership
• Extensive knowledge of cloud security technologies: Azure Infrastructure, GCP, SaaS, AWS, IAM
• Strong understanding of risk management and security technologies
