Insider Threat Engineer

Option 1 is currently looking for an Insider Threat Engineer in Dublin, CA. As the Insider Threat Engineer you will be responsible for building a threat and vulnerability program to enhance the Information Security Program while collaborating with cross-functional teams and addressing 0-day vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage vulnerability and patch management program
• Assesses the level of risk
• Direct operational teams to reduce vulnerability exposure
• Develop metrics reports and communicate results to management as appropriate across the organization.
• Identify and propose areas for improvement within the vulnerability management program
• Support and make recommendations regarding the architecture of the vulnerability scanning toolset
• Perform engineering functions such as analyzing and implementing new tools or upgrades related to the vulnerability scanning toolset
• Conducts assessments of threats and vulnerabilities
• Develop innovative ways to detect threats and vulnerabilities leveraging host, network, and data scans
• Perform malware analysis on 0-day threats and vulnerabilities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
• Strong attention to detail

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience in information security
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working with scripting languages to assess 0-day threats
