Payroll Supervisor

6-month Contract – possible extension

San Jose, CA

$55 – $65/hour

One of our TOP clients, an established employer who has been in the Bay Area for over 50 years, is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll on a weekly basis, staying up to date on changes in payroll regulations, and recommending process improvements as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide effective leadership and training to ensure performance goals are met at employee and company levels.
• Manage workflow and review weekly payroll.
• Analyze payments, deductions, and taxes for accuracy within tight deadlines.
• Understand the full payroll cycle including timecards to GL, implications of changes to benefit plans/deductions, and garnishments for employees and the company.
• Ensure compliance related to FLSA, State, Local, and employment practices for a multi-state company.
• Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, HR, Leadership, and additional teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of directly related work experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Construction experience is a plus!
