Palo Alto, CA – REMOTE

$85,000 – $95,000

Option 1 Staffing is actively recruiting for an Accountant for Direct Hire. To be successful in this role candidates should have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)and the ability to pick up new software quickly. Candidates should be a team player with strong communication and time management skills.

Although this position is REMOTE, our client is looking for candidates within California.

Responsibilities:

• Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Capture, track, and report revenue and expenses.
• Reconcile, and resolve problems relative to complicated accounts.
• Research new regulations, and recommend and implement approved changes.
• Collect data and perform research on details of transactions.
• Prepare and present quantitative and qualitative analyses.
• Run and analyze financial reports.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of directly related work experience
• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
• Experience with the use of PeopleSoft is a plus!
• Academia experience is a plus!
