Accountant I

Option 1 Staffing is actively recruiting for an Accountant I for one of the most highly sought-after Bay Area employers. Exciting opportunity to be part of a growing department. Key responsibilities in this role consist of monitoring accounts, revenue reporting/accounting, purchases and reimbursements, general ledger transactions, and journal entries.

Responsibilities:

• Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Collect data and perform research on details of transactions.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain and reconcile financial data sets, utilizing financial reports, financial databases, and key financial information.
• Identify and resolve incorrect journal entries, data anomalies, deviations from established procedures, and unusual issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments as needed to resolve accounting-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Associate degree required
• Experience working with PeopleSoft is a plus!
• Strong analytical skills
