Ready to take the lead in a high-impact role where strategy meets execution? As Contracts & Risk Manager, you’ll be at the center of it all: shaping contract strategy, managing risk, and driving smart business decisions across both project and service operations. You’ll lead a skilled contracts team, negotiate critical agreements, and ensure compliance that keeps the business protected and moving forward. With your expertise in insurance, subcontractor compliance, and workers’ compensation, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding operations while collaborating with teams across HR, Safety, Finance, and Operations. If you’re looking for a role where your work truly matters—this is it.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the review, redlining, and negotiation of customer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and master service agreements
• Standardize workflows, templates, and procedures for contract management companywide
• Maintain accurate records for contracts, amendments, renewals, and terminations across both divisions
• Oversee all company bonding requirements and ensure timely submission and compliance
• Manage the company’s insurance portfolio, including general liability, auto, umbrella, builder’s risk, professional liability, and workers’ compensation policies
• Align with 3rd-party outside counsel for legal advice, when necessary
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor compliance with insurance requirements, including collection and tracking of certificates of insurance (COIs)
• Serve as the primary contact for brokers, carriers, and legal counsel on policy renewals, claims, and audits
• Monitor changes in contract law, insurance regulations, and industry best practices, implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures
• Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify and address gaps in compliance or process efficiency
• Provide training to project managers, estimators, and service operations staff on contract requirements and risk management practices as needed
• Prepare reports for leadership as needed

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with responsibility for both contract administration and risk management
• Industry experience in construction or mechanical contracting is a plus!
• Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation strategies, and risk transfer
