Patient Access Representative

Oakland, CA – On-site

$24 – $26/hour

Option 1 is currently recruiting for a Patient Access Rep for a TOP 10 hospital in the nation. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively handle high call volume, coordinate services, and properly refer inquires. As well as provide excellent customer service in communicating with patients, providers, clinic staff, and others needing to access health services.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and maintain appointments for new and returning patients
  • Respond to high-volume incoming and outgoing calls
  • Maintain and update insurance information
  • Accurately triage calls and documents to the proper departments
  • Work with outside facilities to obtain necessary information
  • Ensure guidelines and compliance standards are being met
  • Document caller notes into the medical record
  • Data Entry
  • Deliver a high level of customer service

 

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma
  • Minimum 1 year directly related work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Quick learner and tech-savvy
  • Experience working with EPIC is a plus!
