Patient Access Rep

Long Term Contract

Palo Alto, CA – On-site

$24 – $26/hour

The ideal candidate should have 1+ years of prior experience in a medical office/healthcare setting in a patient-facing role, be knowledgeable in performing insurance verifications, and have outstanding customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Check-in patients and begin the registration process
• Assure secure handling and accurate recording of payments collected at the point-of-service delivery
• Retain a strong understanding of the different health insurance coverage options and the related processes and procedures
• Maintain professional communication with various medical staff, patients, and guests
• Update patient records accurately
• Properly handle and/or route patient escalations as needed
• Communication consists of telephone, correspondence, email, or in-person contact
• Additional administrative/ad hoc tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of patient admitting/registration experience
• HS Diploma
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience working with EPIC is a plus, as they are willing to train
• Bilingual is a plus!
