Medical Biller

Fremont, CA (Hybrid after training)

6-month Contract

$24 – $26/hour

Option 1 Staffing is currently recruiting for a Medical Biller with one of our TOP healthcare clients. The ideal candidate should have a background using EPIC and 2+ years of Medical Billing experience. This is a role that needs someone reliable with great communication, and the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Electronic and hard copy claims editing and submission to various payers (Government, Managed Care, and Commercial)
  • Perform follow-ups on unpaid accounts
  • Perform appeals with payer
  • Payer denial review
  • Processes refunds for accounts payable
  • Posts payment transfers from professional billing to hospital billing
  • Review accounts for possible underpayments
  • Strong written and verbal communication


  • Experience working with Medicare, Medi-Cal, Worker’s Comp, or Managed Care
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with Billing/Collections
  • Experience with EPIC is required
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
