Medical Records Specialist

Contract to Hire

Mountain View, Ca

$25 – $27/hour

If you are an experienced, dedicated, and reliable Medical Records professional, this opportunity may be a great fit for you!  Option 1 is currently looking for a Medical Records Specialist for a TOP 6 community hospital in the nation!  Candidates must have 2+ years of experience working with Medical Records to be considered.  


  • Process paper medical records
  • Request and return medical records from/to off-site storage facilities
  • Releases protected health information according to Policies and Procedures and State and Federal regulations
  • Accessing the transcription system to print/send requested reports to nursing units
  • Assist physicians with electronic chart completion
  • Answers telephones and direct calls
  • Prepares end-of-shift reports using Excel



  • Minimum 2 years experience working with medical records
  • Experience with ROI
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer savvy (quick learner)
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
