The Executive Director serves as the primary leader and chief executive of the organization, overseeing its strategic direction and ensuring steady progress toward its mission. This position demands a visionary with strong fundraising abilities who can drive the growth and enhancement of the organization’s core digital infrastructure while maintaining long-term sustainability. The Executive Director will provide effective leadership, ensuring the organization operates efficiently and delivers exceptional value to its network of members, partners, subscribers, and communities.

Responsibilities & Key Skills:
• Partner with the Council to establish the organization’s sustainability and fundraising strategy, and responsible for the implementation of that strategy through general supervision, direction and control of the day-to-day business and activities of the organization
• Attend and participate in Council meetings as a non-voting member, as well as travel to support community and institutional engagement
• Oversee all fundraising operations, including subscriptions
• Manage a high-performance team, through staff recruitment, development, and contributions; maintain organizational culture; ensure effective internal communications and set operational plans to achieve organizational objectives to execute on the strategy within the set budget
• Develop, implement, monitor, and assess sound and compliant financial management practices; member, subscriber, and partner practices; risk management practice; and ensure legal compliance and the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity for the organization’s staff and practices
• Develop and nurture beneficial relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective external communications about the organization, its culture, and its mission, priorities, importance, programs, and activities
• Demonstrated skills in fundraising and donor cultivation
• Inspirational leader with strong management skills in global organizations and a strong history of team building, support, and talent development
