Option 1 Staffing is currently recruiting for a Senior Recruiter will be responsible for recruitment efforts and the full recruitment cycle for our successful biotech client who is rapidly growing and moving into Phase 2 of their expansion plans.. This position will involve reviewing applicants responding to job ads online, screening candidates regarding their qualifications, working with department managers to identify current and future hiring needs, and ensuring the hiring process for our chosen candidates goes smoothly to attract and retain top talent.

The compensation for this position will be $90,000 to $120,000 annually plus benefits.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Identifying future hiring needs and developing job descriptions and specifications.
  • Collaborating with department managers to compile a consistent list of requirements.
  • Sources candidates through cold calling, search engines, referrals, networking, career fairs, and other avenues.
  • Makes recommendations regarding recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings.
  • Attracting suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
  • Conducting interviews and sorting through applicants to fill open positions.
  • Assessing applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
  • Promoting the company’s reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.
  • Keeping up-to-date on current employment legislation and regulations and enforcing them within the company.
  • Providing recruitment reports to team managers.
  • Completing other tasks as they are assigned by the management team

Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of experience as a recruiter
  • Ability to connect with people, develop relationships, and deliver results
  • Ability to exchange information using tact and persuasion as appropriate
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Good oral and written communication skills
