Job Description

The Revenue Cycle Program Manager reports to the Senior Director, Revenue Cycle and is responsible for formally managing performance improvement projects and initiatives within the Revenue Cycle. This individual works closely with the Senior Director, Revenue Cycle and the management team of Patient Accounts (Hospital Billing and Physician Billing), Revenue Integrity, and Patient Access to identify, develop, prioritize, and execute targeted projects. The Revenue Cycle Program Manager will collaborate with stakeholders from various areas throughout the health system (including but not limited to Health Information Management Services, Care Coordination, Information Technology, Clinical Departments, Corporate Compliance and Legal. This role will also perform data analysis to support quantification of return on investment of projects and initiatives and will be accountable for developing consultancy-level deliverables, including PowerPoint presentations, executive summaries, projections and forecasts, and Visio workflow diagrams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare-related field preferred.

Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

Proficiency in project management, Lean, and/or Six Sigma principles (certification in any of the aforementioned is preferred but not required) and techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling multiple high-priority projects.

Experience/knowledgeable in key components of hospital revenue cycle (e.g., patient access, revenue integrity, billing, coding, denials management).

Strong data processing, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Can synthesize data/information into action.

Collaborative and able to work cohesively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.

Ability to facilitate constructive dialogue and effective problem-solving approaches.

Demonstrated ability to influence others/motivate others to achieve common goals.

Ability to work well at all levels of organization – from Senior Leadership to line staff.

Effective organizational skills and high attention to detail in tracking issues, risks, actions, decisions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills and very effective written communication skills.

Proficiency in the suite of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).

Familiarity with Electronic Health Record navigation and prior experience with Epic (required).
