Medical Claims Processor (Payor)

Contract to Hire –

San Jose (south) – On-site 7am-4:30

$26-$28

The Claims Processor is responsible for processing claims, utilizing the appropriate vendor contract terms, while complying with all State, Federal and Contracted Health Plan requirements. This position is also responsible for answering calls from external providers/vendors to address questions regarding claim adjudication outcome.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Work on reports related to referrals, claims, or other health plan processes as assigned.
  • Experience paying PPO medical claims
  • Spanish speaking would be a bonus but not exclusive to the position requirements
  • Detail oriented and time management are a must as you must be able to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of medical and dental procedures and coding and COB with Medicare billing
  • 3 years in claims processing experience
  • Process claims per established policy and procedure, while maintaining defined production and quality goals
  • Work on reports related to referrals, claims, or other health plan processes as assigned.
