OPTION 1 Staffing is currently recruiting for a MDM Data Specialist. This position supports Supply Chain through a comprehensive understanding of business rules governing master data updates, including updates to vendor, item and location master files. The MDM/MMIS Data Specialist processes and responds to Service Now tickets submitted as business needs require changes to master data or as reports/data extracts are needed and also assists with end user troubleshooting and process training as required.

Responsibilities
Independently extracts and integrates data from multiple data systems to support analytical efforts.
Runs data analysis and status reports as required to meet management requirements.
Monitors and processes all the Service Now MDM tickets, such as item add/change, vendor add/change, requisition or other
end user training, system functionality issues, month/year end financial close, etc.
Ensures system issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Keeps management, team members and business stakeholders informed of critical issues, status, changes, etc.
Monitors and evaluates daily data and processes in order to meet the daily requirements for Master Data Management environment.
Works effectively with Technology Operations/Infrastructure teams to ensure continued operations and maintenance of the data platform.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
High School diploma required. Technical degree/certification or highly relevant equivalent experience in
a similar functions required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience
Minimum 4 years plus of experience in MDM/MMIS role, marketing analysis, business and/or financial management tasks for commercial organizations.

BA/BS may count for 2 years’ experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Access, Project, and PowerPoint) in order to prepare all documents, presentations, tables, and worksheets.
Strong written & verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, prioritization and independent decision-making skills.
Proven ability to design business processes for managing data throughout the lifecycle.
Experience
on various business processes with an ERP system.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills focus on detail (passion for data and accuracy).
Demonstrated ability to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies collaborating with team members.
Act as a key contact for problem resolution and initiate data corrective actions based on performing/reporting data audit analysis.
Build relationships with key stakeholders in
domain or business unit(s) and meet their requests in a timely manner.
Be accountable for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and management of master data.
Monitor and enforce master data management strategies, policies, procedures, and standards.
