The Master Data Specialist will be the subject matter expert on the master data utilized in product, reagent, and operations systems. They will be responsible for ensuring master data integrity in key business systems as well as maintain the processes that support the data quality.

 RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Participate in the development, updating, and maintenance of instrument, spares and reagent master data across Fremont, Wuxi, and BV sites.
  • Provide awareness training and key user support on master data related data structures.
  • Ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.
  • Create and oversee governing processes for instrument, spare and reagent data.
  • Automate master data activities where possible.
  • Lead in continuous improvement efforts to streamline master data processes, entries, and projects.
  • Assist project teams in cleansing data into Propel and NetSuite systems as part of cutover plans.
  • Participate in the development, updating, and maintenance of product master data.
  • Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies. Provide periodic updates/feedback to operation teams.
  • In collaboration with other subject matter experts, define and implement data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
  • Responsible for timely (24 – 48 hours) and accurate implementation of ECs from Propel to NetSuite. Work directly with engineering, IT, inventory, and finance counterparts.
  • Convert legacy part numbers to Aurora part numbers as needed (with NPI team and through EC process). Work with inventory control specialist to ensure proper movement of physical parts into new part number (as well as NetSuite transaction).

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree required in related field or 5+ years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Process and detail oriented.
  • Experience in master data processing, ERP, and PLM systems.
  • Experience working with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines in database warehousing preferred.
  • Understanding of modern Master Data Management Concepts and Data Quality approaches, tools, techniques, vendor landscape, and best practices.
  • Proven organization and priority setting skills.
  • Previous experience in master data processing and ERP and PLM systems.
  • Deliver results on multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
