Option 1 Staffing is currently recruiting for a Data Entry Clerk/Medical Billing candidate to assist the billing department of a busy hospital.  This is a detailed, multi-tasking position.  Our client needs someone with a medical background.  This is on site.

Job Description

  • Reports directly to supervisor in real time any potential issues with the submittal of claims.

    • Maintains proper record keeping.
    • Maintains current knowledge on the procedures related to data entry and county contract language.
    • Trains others on various data entry.
    • Oversees consistency of documentation provided by clinic personnel.
    • Interfaces with county staff to assure open communication and understanding of any problems with data entry.
    • Other related duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Strong verbal, written, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various computerized billing software.
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well.
    • Ability to use office equipment such as computer terminal, fax machine and copier.
    • 1 year medical experience
